College panic attack. Please calm down?
Okay so I am a freshman in high school and the third quarter just finish. I slacking and not really worry about my grades until today when I received my 3rd quarter report. I have all C and 2 B's. My average is 3.17 and really really want to go to UGA. The GPA requirement is somewhere around a 3,5-3,8. So I panicked. I heard after blowing grades their first year very hard to get them back up. I need some kind of guarantee or a new technique for me back on track. Please help:) My mother has suggested I go to a community college my first and second year of college, but I refused to .. It is the main reason but one of the reasons I'm looking for is that the UGA social experience. Football games, dorm life, meeting new people, etc. but that is not the main reason. I feel like my hopes will be enough UGA Journalism. I also have many more reasons that are irrelevant. All I'm saying .. not suggest the community college:) Thanks.
Do not worry about it. Many colleges even look at your grades first year, and you should pick up the Cs and pensions so that half card (which has) is a little nicer looking. Also, if you're a good writer, the counting of trials – to do extracurricular activities and special ACT and SAT. Try to take as many honors and AP courses as you can, but remember that there is never a "requirement of the GPA." That is the average of 50 percent, which means that while 25% of applicants have over a 3-8, 25% also below a 3-5. Then silence. You still have a few years to return to the track.
